Mat Bobby Portrait Photographer

Longmont & Boulder portrait photographer for creatives & entrepreneurs

Plenty of portraits show what someone looks like. I’m after what it’s like to be in a room with them.

Every session starts with a conversation. I pick up the camera when the moment is right, and the photographs flow from that conversation.

How it works

What if I don’t like being photographed?

Not everyone does, and that’s fine. Every session starts with a conversation, and I pick up the camera when the moment is right. You don’t need to know how to pose.

01

We talk.

Before the camera comes out, we talk about who you are, what you’re doing and what the photographs are for.

02

I photograph.

When the moment’s right, I’ll start taking photos. I’ll give some direction, but mostly I try to stay out of your way so your personality comes through.

03

Your photographs.

A private gallery of edited photographs within two weeks, usually less.

About

I was watching long before I picked up a camera.

I’m drawn to people: what they do and what they value. I don’t have to share someone’s interests to be invested in them; when I’m with someone, I’m fully present.

Every session starts with a conversation.

This is where it starts: tell me about you and what the photographs are for.
